What's New in CATCH PE?

MVPA, moderate-to-vigorous physical activity, is the key. CATCH makes it easy for PE specialists, classroom teachers, and activity professionals to develop and implement to increase MVPA during active time (the CATCH goal for MVPA is at least 50% of class time).

CATCH PE gives kids the opportunity to develop the skills and the appreciation for healthy activity. With CATCH PE, everyone participates. The emphasis is on fun and lots of activity. Every CATCH kit comes with a guidebook that makes implementation and class organization a snap!

CATCH PE builds movement skills, sports skills, and physical fitness, not to mention the fun necessary to help kids want to move, both in and outside of PE class.

New CATCH Activities

The Texas CATCH Team has developed a new PE activity for 3rd-5th graders. It's called Partner Pass Tag (a PDF file).
