The 2006 CATCH Champion Awards

The 2nd Annual CATCH Champion Awards took place November 30 at the Hilton Hotel in downtown Ft. Worth, Texas during the TAPERD convention. Over 100 attendees were present during the ceremony which saw nine awards distributed to those who have demonstrated years of enthusiasm for both the CATCH Program as well as creating healthy environments for youth in their communities.
This years awards were presented to:

Rhonda Carr, Dietician, Child Nutrition Services, Midland ISD
Helen Wagner, Elementary PE Facilitator, Humble ISD
Renee Putter, Athletic Director, Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD
Klaus Hille, CATCH Coordinator, El Paso, Texas
Terri Kemp, Program Specialist, Texas DSHS
Marybeth Hughes, Director of Foreign Languages and Physical Education, Midland ISD
Robert Poorman, Elementary PE Facilitator, Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD
Elizabeth Avitia, Health Education Specialist K-12, Brownsville ISD
